Thanks to FightTheStroke for welcoming us back to your blog. Last time we talked about toys for Hemikids, today we try to extend the game ideas to all children with Infantile Cerebral Palsy (CP).
First of all the presentations: we are a couple of parents who have faced the impossibility of finding toys and books suitable for the abilities of our child. Very often it happens that when a child’s skills deviate even slightly from the norm, the toys are no longer playable. Indeed, a game can become a source of frustration rather than fun.
We decided to transform this difficulty of ours into something that could also be of help to other families. By comparing ourselves with other families, associations and therapists we have come to create Playability, an e-commerce of toys suitable or adaptable to the different abilities of each child, to give all children the opportunity to play for the pleasure of playing.

CP, in fact, can cause impediments that are very different from one child to another, both as a type and as an entity, and which can involve various skills: from fine motor skills, perhaps the most evident and known ones, to visual skills. , communicative, sensory and intellectual integration.
This makes us understand that there is not a single game that can be used by all children with CP but there are toys that are better suited to the abilities of each child, allowing them to play while having fun. Below we have collected some tips and practical examples of toys, divided by development and skill areas:
